Commencement Ceremony Site

On March 26, 2024, the centralized commencement ceremony for new energy industry projects and transmission projects in Jiayuguan City took place. Zhuang Guotai, Secretary of Party Leadership Group and Chairman of the provincial CPPCC, announced the start of the projects. Wang Jiantai, secretary general of the provincial CPPCC, attended the event. Liu Kai, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Mayor, delivered a speech. Cui Jingyu, Director of the Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, Overseas Chinese and Foreign Affairs Committee of the provincial CPPCC; Wang Yi, Chairman of the municipal CPPCC; and Zhao Baoyi, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Political and Legal Affairs Committee of the city, were present. Shi Fusheng, Member of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and executive vice mayor, presided over the commencement activities. Hou Qiang, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, and Zuo Pengqiang, Chairman of YOPO Group, attended and delivered a speech.

Zuo Pengqiang, Chairman of YOPO Group, highlighted that with the support of the provincial Party committee, provincial government, and provincial CPPCC, as well as the strong backing of the Jiayuguan Municipal Party Committee and government, the group has made significant strides. Building upon last year's investment of RMB 1.2 billion in a 5GW high-efficiency photovoltaic module smart factory, this year, the group will invest an additional RMB 1.7 billion in the construction of a 300MW photovoltaic power station project, a 330kV collection and booster station, and transmission projects. These investments will play a pivotal role in accelerating the development of Jiayuguan's green power grid, enhancing grid safety and stability, and leveraging the city's new energy advantages.
