Chalcogenide solar cells are solar cells that utilize chalcogenide-type organic metal halide semiconductors as light-absorbing materials, which have the advantages of high photovoltaic conversion efficiency, low manufacturing cost, good low-light effect, low temperature coefficient, etc., and are the most promising new generation of solar cells.
In the research of this project, the State Grid Gansu Electricity Academy of Sciences “Dr. Electric” innovation team using photolithography technology on the active layer of chalcogenide graphical processing, the standard chalcogenide solar cells into semi-transparent chalcogenide solar cells. State Grid Gansu Electricity Academy of Sciences is responsible for the project research and development of the person in charge of Chen Honggang said: “We through precise control of the exposure time and depth and other parameters, can be formed in the chalcocite film on the specific graphic structure, such as grid lines, dot matrix, etc. These graphic structures help to optimize the light in the cell. These graphic structures help optimize the propagation path of light inside the cell and improve the light absorption efficiency, thus enhancing the photoelectric conversion performance of the cell.”
Unlike the ideal conditions in the lab, the outdoor environment is complex and variable, including light intensity, temperature, humidity, wind speed, dust accumulation, and many other factors that can have an impact on the performance of solar cells. After the success of the project grid, the State Grid Gansu Electricity Academy of Sciences “Dr. Electric” innovation team will be in outdoor conditions to verify the performance of translucent chalcogenide solar cells, through the examination of the battery's photoelectric conversion efficiency, stability, durability and adaptability to extreme climatic conditions, in-depth understanding of the battery's advantages and deficiencies in practical applications, and then to address the issues of technical and technological development. Shortcomings, and then for the problem of technical improvement and innovation.
